Jefferson County Child Development Council, Inc. (JCCDC) is a private nonprofit organization which began in January 1972. A consortium of local agencies identified a need for a local agency to coordinate and provide supportive services for child care programs. JCCDC was incorporated in 1973 to serve as this support system for child care and to present a unified voice for children in the community. An Executive Board governs the agency’s policies, provides financial oversight, and seeks to keep the community informed of any issues that would affect children or programs for young children.
